Andrew Aichensoun64 was born in 1421 in Scotland. Parents: John Aichensoune.

Henry Aichensoun64 died before 1494. Lived in Edinburgh, Scotland in 1492. He was the third son.

[NI002] Name also spelled Achinsone, and Atchensoun. Henry was living in Edinburgh, Scotland in 1492.

Parents: John (Johannes) Aichensoun.

Spouse: Margaret Barnet. Children were: George Achinsone.

John (Johannes) Aichensoun64 was born about 1440 in Letham, Forfarshire, Scotland. One record shows the name as Johannes Achinsoune, born in Drumtennend, Scotland about 1450

Forfarshire County is now Angus County.

[NI001] Surname also spelled: Achinsoune, Aichensoun, Aichinsoun, and Achesonne. John's name might alternately have been Johannes Achinsoune as an alternate genealogical source suggests. (Though Johannes and John are interchangeable.)
Johannes was of Drumtennend, Scotland about 1450, and apparently had three sons.
John had seisin (legal possession, especially of a freehold state) of Letham in Forfarshire, Scotland in 1464. He seems to have removed to lowland Scotland at some point, near Haddingtonshire or Edinburgh, (perhaps held lands there).

Parents: John Aichensoune.

Children were: Henry Aichensoun, Unknown Aichensoun.

Unknown Aichensoun (private). Parents: John (Johannes) Aichensoun.

John Aichensoune (private). Parents: William Aichensoune.

Children were: John (Johannes) Aichensoun, Andrew Aichensoun.

William Aichensoune64 was born about 1371 in Prob. Scotland. He died in Prob. Scotland. [NI076] William's last name could be one of many spellings. He was at Forfar in 1464. According to several existing genealogies (one done by a genealogist with a Phd.), William was the father of John. His family is said to have been a prominent Norman-Scottish family of Forfar(shire), County Angus, Scotland. In 1408, a William Acheson was documented as servitor of Sir Simon Glendonwyne (North Berwick?). Parents: Johannes filius Ade.

Children were: John Aichensoune.

Ann Aitchison64 was born about 1747 in Norfolk, Virginia. Parents: William Aitchison and Rebecca Ellsgood.

Mary Aitchison64 was born about 1751 in Norfolk, VA. Parents: William Aitchison and Rebecca Ellsgood.

Rebecca Aitchison64 was born in 1749 in Norfolk, VA. Parents: William Aitchison and Rebecca Ellsgood.

Unknown Aitchison (private). Parents: William Aitchison and Rebecca Ellsgood.

Walter Aitchison64 was born in 1744 in Montgomery Co., Virginia. Walter was attending school at Middle Temple, England in 1770, four years before his father's will was written in 1774 and seven years before his father's death. The will indicates that none of his sons had reached the age of twenty-one years at the time it was written, therefore Walter must have been under sixteen years of age in 1770.

By his father's will, probated in 1777, Walter inherited with other property a plantation in Princess Anne County, Virginia. Nothing more has be learned regarding his life or descendants if any. Being under sixteen years of age in 1770 when he was in England attending school he may have remained in England for the duration of the War. His name does not appear among those serving in the Virginia Army.
Parents: William Aitchison and Rebecca Ellsgood.

William Aitchison64 was born about 1720 in Princess Anne, VA. He died in 1777 at the age of 57 in Princess Anne, VA. William's tombstone in the Rose Hall Cemetery in Princess Anne County, Virginia, is marked with the Crest of the Acheson Coat of Arms, and other inscriptions which are too worn to be read.

Wiliam Aitchison was apparently a well educated man and a man of considerable wealth. Both of which are indicatd by his will. He wrote his own will in longhand, the terminology and composition of which indicates the may have been a lawyer. Parents: John Atchison and Sarah Macafee or Mcatee.

Spouse: Rebecca Ellsgood. Children were: Unknown Aitchison, Henry Aytchison, Walter Aitchison, Ann Aitchison, Rebecca Aitchison, Mary Aitchison, William Atchison.
