HUDDLESTON formerly a citizen of this County departed this life in the month of October 1847 in the city of Mexico leaving no written will and that said deceased had left a large amount of property in this County of Overton and the Court being satisfied as to the claim of William B. CHOWNING to the administration of said estate, it is therefore ordered by the court that William B. CHOWNING be appointed administrator of all and singular the goods and chattels rights and credits of the said Creed T. HUDDLESTON decd. Whereupon William B. CHOWNING came into court with Chattin CHOWNING, Balon MARCUM, John F. JOUETT, William DALE and Z. R. CHOWNING his securites who acknowledged bond in the penal sum of sixteen thousand dollars conditioned as the law directs and the said William B. CHOWNING was qualified as such and letters of administration ordered to be issued to him."
