William married Elizabeth Westbury in 1710 in Balitimore Co. Maryland. Elizabeth was not th e mother of William. John may have had an earlier wife , William was born May 15 1706. Elaiza beth died in May of 1714 and about one month later William bound himself to the Daniel Scot t family. With the consent of his father. This is recorded in the court records of Baltimor e Co. John next married Jane Mayer the same year. William lived with the Scott family until about 1742-3 when he moved to Pittsyvannia Co, Va.According to the quarterly,BUTTRAM KITH & KIN; Vol. 10, #2; Summer 1993;Page 9 . . . This William was Fifth Generation in America. This is thework of "Topeka Jack" BURTRAM and his late brother, Karl M. BURTRAM.

relocated to Rowan County North Carolina by 1759.
7) William, b. June 15, 1759 at Rowan County, NC; married Sarah
Patterson, dau. of James Patterson, on Jan. 29, 1780 at Rowan Co.
NC. This William fought in the Revolutionary War, and is buried in
White Co. TN. He lived in Wayne Co. KY 18 years before White Co.
8) William Buttram/Bertram, b. June 17, 1783, Rowan Co. NC; married
Nancy Stinson on Feb. 19, 1807 at Lee Co. VA. He is considered to

It probablywas the one we call William BUTTRAM, born about 1706 in Maryland, as hisson, William BUTTRAM, I, would have only been about age 15 by 1750. Thisis a new location for the BUTRAM/BUTTRAM family and is worth examiningfurther.
