of Culpeper was written 22 August 1788 and proved 18 JAN 1790. The
inventory and appraisal you refer to was recorded, as you say, 20 SEP 1790.
(Both in Will Book C), prepared by James MORTON, Harbin Moore and Churchill
Gordon. The will and inventory are obviously for the same person, see will
below:The Andrew Bourn in question is from a long line of Bourne family, who
particularly favored the name ANDREW. His wife was Jane MORTON. He,
Andrew, was a son of John Bourne of Essex County.Andrew Bourne's will names wife Jane [MORTON] and these people:
1. Children of my daughter Elizabeth Hawkins, deceased (had m. William
Hawkins, son of Benjamin Hawkins & Sarah Willis)2. Daughter Ann Hawkins (m. Benjamin Hawkins, s/o Benjamin Hawkins & Sarah
Willis)3. Sarah Price (m. Col. John Price)
4. Jane Hawkins (m. James Hawkins, another son of Benjamin Hawkins & Sarah
Willis).5. Frances Newman (m. Reuben Newman, s/o Thomas Newman & Elizabeth Morton)
6. Judith Zimmerman (m. Frederick Zimmerman 14 June 1784, Culpeper)
7. Polly Bourn (m. George Newman in Culpeper, 10 SEP 1790, after the will
was drawn)8. Andrew Bourn, (m. Elizabeth Robertson)
9. William Bourn (m. Mildred Helm, lived in Frederick Co.)
Executors were William Morton and WIlliam Pannill. Witnesses were John
Bourn, Benjamin Thornton, Reuben Newman and William Bourn. There was no Andrew BOWIN around at this time, that I have found.
