Hi Guy,
I have contacted alot of people and am not sure if I have contacted you yet or not. I am confused and hoping to get some help. I have an article that states that Andrew Bourn (the one you have listed as Henry's son) is the father of Elijah Bourn, not Henry. Do you have proof that Henry is the father of Elijah? Here is the article:Kentucky: A History of the State, Battle, Perrin, & Kniffin, 5th ed., 1887,
Jessamine Co.
Mr . Funk was born June 19, 1828 , and was married to Miss Nannie Bourn , May 11, 1864 . His wife is the daughter of Davis Bourn , a citizen of Jessamine County . Four children have been born to the marriage of Mr . Funk : Mrs . Leana Horine , Miss Mamie , Annie Bertie and John . Mr . Funk owns 300 acres of land in one of the most beautiful sections in Jessamine County . The father of Mrs . Funk was the youngest son of Elijah Bourn, who was the son of Andrew Bourn , of Orange County , Va ., who settled in Kentucky in 1793 . Andrew Bourn , the paternal grandfather of Davis Bourn , went to school with James Madison near Port Conway , Va ., was born in 1747 , and died in 1791 in Virginia .I know that Davis was Elijah's son but I am still confused because everyone has Henry as Elijah's father and Andrew as Elijah's brother who is 34 years older than him (which does not make sense to me). I am starting to think that Andrew is Henry's son and Elijah is Andrews son. This was written 117years ago. Do you have any thoughts on this matter?
Thanks
Sally Fisk
