This William Lee is thought to have come to Pikeville, Bledsoe County
TN in 1807 or 1808.  He came from Virginia maybe White County or maybe
Lee County Virginia.  William settled about 2 miles from Pikeville
with his family he had at least 6 boys.  They bought land and cleared
it, working the land for about six years.  A old land grant from North
Carolina turned up taking all their land and improvements that they had
made to the land.  In disgust most of this family went to Indiana.
William I died in Bledsoe County TN.  His wife Elizabeth went to
Indiana the others.  It seems that William's sons John and Vardemon
stayed in Tennessee.  William II did not stay in Indiana.  William II
married a Matlida ?? then later he married Ann Brock in Kentucky. You
must keep in mind that the State lines and county lines were very fluid
at this time and changed often.

Mirah (Lee) LEA

Listed as a half sister to the rest of William Lee II siblings.  She
and Catharine is sisters I am not sure from a pervious marriage of
William or of Ann Brock.  In her Will Mirah(Myra) list
Walter Lea and James Lea as her children.  The Will
also list the Children with the Ballard surname.  This
could indicate that Walter and James were born out of
wedlock.  This also could indicate that Myra(Mirah) may
have married into the Lea family, which means she is not
the daughter of William II. <@1840_&_50_AL>
