Tommy and Betsy are remembered by some as the parents of George Knox (great grandfather to Ova Knox) Some say Tommy was a brother of George both could be true but no one is sure. It is said that they first settled at Indian Fields in Clark County. George then settled and lived on South Fork of Red river in Powell county . He married Rebecca Holmes in 1829. They had 9 children which are named on the family tree. These names were taken from an old Bible owned by one of Uncle Harve's grand daughters. George and Rebecca are buried at the old home place. Uncle Sid (the youngest) lived at the old home place until he died. It then passed into other hands outside the family.EASTERN KENTUCKY PIONEERS
