Yarbrough, North Carolina's 3rd Regiment .  His Revolutionary War pension file number is #W2148 .  Descendants of Joseph can become members of the DAR or SAR.  Tax records in Wayne County, Kentucky show that he owned and sold many acres of land between 1799 and 1828. Joseph was living with his son, Daniel, in Saline County,  Illinois when he died.

Sometimein the 1880's most of Ewing's children packed up their families and moved to Texas. Today the majority of the Minze/Minzes side of the family linelives in Texas, though there are a few households still in Missouri. There are also a few in California, Louisiana, and along the EasternSeaboard from Virginia up through New York.

Margaret BUTTRAM

MARGARET said to have had at least 4 children in Rowan Co . , North Carolina before her death.  Joseph remarried and took his family first to Kentucky, then to McMinn Co., Tennessee.  His second wife died in Meigs Co., Tennessee in 1868 .  Joseph, a Revolutionary War soldier, left a will in McMi nn Co., Tennessee where he had sold land to more than one person and a court decided who was the rightful owner. The family moved west to Illinois, Missouri and later Wisconsin.  Source "Marriages of Rowan Co., North Carolina" by Brent Holcomb, Page 283

This Will my be that of Joseph Ming Jr. for it is thought that he was the one that went to McMinn Co.  not Joseph Sr.
