"Frankie" lived to be 102 years.  When she celebrated her 100 birthday, an article was published in ""The Kentucky Post" .  "She had 13 children and 6 were still living.  She also had 53 grandchildren, 128 ggrandchildren, 53 gg grandchildren and 3 ggg grandchildren.  As a mid-wife she delivered some 1000 children in Powell and Estill Co. Her husband's mother, Ann, taught her how to be a mid-wife.

Her daughter, Ila, said she was a very good rider.  "I've seen her get off the horse, grab hold of its tail or mane and follow it when the mountain was too steep".

Her mother died when she was very young and she was raised by her grandmother, Abby Rogers.
