Sarah Elizabeth, born 1879, Johnson County, Kentucky, married Joshua Wallace, October 10, 1896. He was the son of W.R. and Mary Wallace. I believe they later moved to Rockhouse in Pike County, Kentucky. I recall they were very good to us.

They lived south of the Clinch River on land willed to himi by his
father (the
present site of Cleveland). Martha was a member of the Reeds Valley
Baptist
Church and is buried in the Ezekiel Counts Cemetery at Cleveland. Her
premonition of approaching death and expressions of devout faith
during her
last illness were recorded in a small booklet probably published by
her son
Elijah. Her descendants treasure those memoirs today.
During the Civil War he served several months in the Confederate
Quartermaster
Dept. at Bristol. He served as a deacon for many years [for the Reeds
Valley
Baptist Church] and represented his church as a messenger to the
Washington
District Associaton. Joshua was bedridden with rheumatism the last
six year
of his life.
