Thomas died Sept. 18, 1741 and a tombstone was erected to his memory in Keady where he resided during the later part of his life: "Here lies Thomas Acheson who was born in--- and departed this life Sept. 18,1741"

Thomas Acheson of Market Hill, gentleman, grants to Master John Waryng, rector of Molaghiddred and Sir Thomas Lundy, of Dubling, Chaplain, his lands and messuages in Dublin, Tava (Co. Meath), Ballybay,Co. Monaghan and Middletown, Co. Armagh, July 18, 1729 and John Walshe was appointed to receive seisen of the premises, Christ Church deeds.
