MRS. LYLE, 69, TAKEN BY DEATH

Mrs. Lilly Knox Lyle, 69, wife of John S. Lyle, died at 9:30 a. m. today at her home, 114 S. Burns Ave. A native of Powell  County, she was the daughter of the late Dr. A. T. and Alice McDonald Knox. She was a member of the First Christian Church and the Woman's Christian Missionary Society. Desides her husband, she is survived by a son, Joseph S. Lyle, Lexi ngton; a brother, Dr. J. F. Knox, Stanton; a sister, Mrs. H. Ray Shear, Winchester, and two grandchildren, Joe Eric Lyle and Janet Kay Lyle, both of Lexington .  Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p. m. Friday at the Scobee Funeral H ome by the Rev. Allen C. Garner. Burail will be in the Machpelah Cemetery, Mt. Sterling.
The body is at the funeral home where friends may call after 10 a.m Thursday.

Apparently A. T. Knox was married twice...first to Mary Martin and  to ALice McDonald in 1893
