Mrs. Greer, 26, Dies At Ilsley
Mrs. Maleasure Ellen Greer, 26, died suddenly at 9 a.m. Thursday in her home at Ilsley after suffering from an apparent attack of indigestion following breakfast. The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Johnston, Mrs. Greer was born in Todd county and with her parents, moved to Hopkins county when she was nine months old. She married Harry Royal in 1936 and to this union three sons were born. Mr. Royal died in 1941 and she married Thomas R. Greer in 1944. Two were born of this union. Besides the husband and parents, survivors include five children, William Andrew, John Evan and Robert Earl Royal; and David Wayne and Thomas Ray Greer; a sister, Mrs. Pallos Elkins, Mortons Gap; and four brothers, Lilburn Johnston, Carbondale; John Johnston, Earlington; and Woodson and Omer Johnston, Ilsley. The remains were take today to the home in Ilsley. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Sunday in Earlington Assembly of God Church with Rev. Luther Teague, Oak Hill, officiating. Burial will be in Johnston cemetery in Todd county, near Kirkmansville. (Madisonville Messenger)

Funeral services were held for Mrs. Andrew Johnston, 80. Route 2, Wednesday afternoon at Emberry Methodist Church in Todd county. The Rev. Jimmie Russell officiated. Burial was in Emberry Cemetery. Mrs. Johnston died at 4:35 A.M. Sunday, April 11 in Hopkins County Hospital after an illness of several years. She had been a patient in the hospital for two weeks and had undergone surgery Friday, April 9. She was born July 6 1890 in Wosewood, Ky, daughter of the late John William Latham and Thursie Ann Skipworth Latham. She was married to to Mr. Johnston Oct 6, 1907. They had nine children, five surviving. She was a member of the Emberry Methodist Church. Other survivors besides the husband are a daughter Mrs. Pallos Elkins, Mortons Gap; four sons Woodrow Johnston and Omer Johnston, both of Route 2, Lilburn Johnston, Madisonville and John Johnston, Providence. 26 grandchildren, 53 great-grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren.
