By Edwin Stuart Powell, Jr. I found this Bible in the vault of the Powell Agency, Inc., Reidsville, NC about 1974. (The Powell Agency, Inc. had been originally forms as the Laura L Powell Agency by the purchase of the Huffines Agency in February of 1918.) My belief is that it belonged to Laura Leslie Powell; that she had received it from her father, Robert Samuel Powell; and, that she had brought the Bible to the office in the early 1950's to document her age for Social Security purposes. Laura Leslie Powell died in July of 1972.
