I saw your entry on William Jones Mayfield on Rootsweb. I believe that this
man was my great grandfather, but I am not 100% sure. One of my great
uncles, B. C. Mayfield told us that his father's middle name was "Wesley,"
but we have other evidence that says that it was "Jones" who was raised in
Cook county and then moved to Coryell County, then Hamilton County and then
he died in Rains County. Do you know anything about William Jones Mayfield's
children. My grandfather's brothers and sisters the following. He married
Ella Nora Kirkland.
