LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT OF HENRY D. ATCHISON
in the name of God Amen, I, Henry D. Atchison of Bath County, and State of Kentucky do make and declare this my last will and testament in manner and form.
First: To my beloved wife Nancy Atchison, I will and bequeath all my land and personal property so long as she shall live my widow, and it is my will if my Wife should marry for the farm to be rented and the property sold and put to the use of my heirs. And it is my will if my wife Nancy Atchison should not marry she is to have the farm and property until the youngest child is sixteen years old and then it is my will the farm to be rented and put to the use of my heirs. **William P. Atchison my son, I consider has got one hundred dollars, I consider that my daughter Elizabeth Chonstant has received ninety dollars, I have paid to my daughter Sally Hunt, sixty dollars, I have paid to my son John Q. Atchison seventy five dollars, I will to my son, Samual C. Atchison five dollars, to be paid in two years. It is my will that Lewis Atchison shall have a forty dollar horse as soon as possible. It is my will James W. Atchison shall have this two coults and hogs at fort dollars in part of his Estate.
It is my wish that James W. Atchison should stay with his Mother till the youngest child is sixteen years old and if he should clear and fence any ground after he is twenty years old he is to have the said ground rent free till the death of his Mother then it is my will that my land shall be sold and equal division made between nine of my heirs, not to include SAMUEL ATCHISON, I have willed him all I intend him to have. Whereas: Iacknowledge this to be my last will and Testament in the presence of the two witnesses this 14th day of February, 1844.
