He was in the Northern Army. My Dad said they used to call him "Hell Fire" for he was a preacher, evidently of the brimstone type. He lived and preached in Owingsville, KY, where I have seen records of his works at the alter. He applied for a pension from both wars, evidently in Mexico he became ill with a Montezuma revenge which he kept his lifetime.
