Nimrod See was born in 1807 in Kentucky, United States.128 [NEED TO DEFINE SENTENCE:Census records] He died in 1865 at the age of 58 in Schuyler Co., MO. There was a Nimrod See on the 1830 Hardy County WV census and on the Montgomery Co. KY census. Nimrod was not on the 1840 Hardy County census but was on the Montgomery Co. census for that year. I thought these two were the same but have found much evidence from others doing the same research that they are not the same. I am sure they tie in with Johan George SEE (ZEH) and Margaret Judy (TSCHUDI).
A Mildred Edgerton who did research in the 1960 was not sure who Nimrod’s parents were but thought it could have been William SEE who was married to Betsy Oxier. William had a brother named George . Their father was speculated by her to have been Coonrod SEE. Coonrod had brothers John and George all in KY about 1785- 86.
Nimrod moved to Schuler Co. MO 1855 or 1856.
Parents: William See and Elizabeth (Betsy) Auxier.

Spouse: Docia Ann Mullins. Docia Ann Mullins and Nimrod See were married about 1850. Children were: Flemming See, Catherine See, Sarah See, Manda or Nada See.

Spouse: Polly Howell. Children were: Almanser See, Sarah See, William See, George SEE, John See, Berry See, Benjamin See, Anna See, Edward See, Cynthia Jane See, Jasper See, James See.

Nimrod See131 was born on 23 March 1839.1586 He died on 25 September 1905 at the age of 66 in Nez Perce County.1586 Was burried .888 Peck, Nez Perce County, Idaho ,Sept 28,1911
Nimrod See Passes Away After long years of constant suffering with a complication of diseases, Nimrod See aged 81, died at his home here last Monday at a little after noon. While quite feeble, Mr..See had been able to get about the house and but a few moments before death had eaten his mid-day lunch. After eating he complained of feeling sick and went out of doors, returning a moment later to announce to Mrs..See that he felt as though his whole body was becoming paralyzed. Mrs..See prevailed upon him to lie down and at once summoned Dr.Lyle, but before restoratives could be applied the old gentleman was beyond all earthly assistance. Friends came and prepared the body for burial and yesterday after funeral services at the church, conducted at ten o'clock by Rev.A.M. Lambert, the remains were conveyed to the Sunnyside cemetery for interment. Beside the aged wife the deceased is survied by five brothers, Three residing in Missouri and two in this county. To these and his other relatives, and especially to the feeble woman who for more than fifty years had fought life's battle by his side, is extended the heartfelt sympathy of all. Nimrod See was born in Kentucky in 1839,when he was twelve years of age his parents moved to Davis County ,Iowa and two years later moved to Putman County ,MO. On March 28 1861 he united in marriage to Miss Lydia Frazier, with his wife he came west in 1864 and settled temporarily at Alpawa, from which place they went to Latah CO. this state Later Mr. See went into the timber country east of Cornwall and settled on tract upon the town of Deary has since been built. Being physically unable to cope with the hardships of frontier life Mr..and Mrs.. See moved to Douglas CO.Ore. In 1896 they homesteaded land north of the river from Peck. Two years ago they sold this and bought a home in Peck. They had no children. On March 28th last they celebrated their golden wedding.

Note: they have his age wrong
Comment:The Sunnyside Cemetery is one of the most lovely spots on earth on a nole protruding out far enough so you can see the always clear Clearwater River from both directions it is a very well maintained place and very peaceful and quite Nimrod's gravesite is close to the road in the front of the cemetery, his wife even by todays standards had a very stately tall dark marble tombstone erected with with her name and information on the opposite side of Nimrod same stone as it was her intent to be buried there at her passing-but her site is empty and no one in my family knows where she is buried. The name SEE is so prodoimit that that you can see coming both directions on the country rd. So that many locals call it the SEE cemetery-About thirty yards towards the rear of the cemetery is the gravesite of Nimrod 's sister in law Mary Isabell Jones See who d.1905 next to her is Francis Maion See Nim's brother who died just eight months after his brother- They are my Great Grandparents as we understand it they came over to help Nimrod with the homestead along with a few sons-they didn't get head stones till the 40's when my Grandfather had them placed.someone mystery decorates Nimrods grave on a regular basis even to this day. Hope you found this obit as iteresting as I Storm E.See
